Melanie has been assisting companies identify opportunities to claim government incentives and attract grants for research and development since 1999. She has successfully prepared and defended R&D tax concession claims for companies of all sizes, from start ups to multinationals, in the resources and energy (coal, mineral sands, petroleum, natural gas, renewable energy), utilities, IT, manufacturing (steel, food and other FMCG, toolmaking), biotechnology, publishing, entertainment and telecommunications industries.
As a result of this experience, Melanie has developed detailed knowledge of the application of the R&D tax concession legislation to the many complex projects undertaken across these industries.
Grant Writing Experience
Melanie has also helped many MJA clients to major success in the completion and review of grant applications under the Climate Ready, Commercial Ready, REDI, ICIP, Low Emissions Technology Demonstration Fund and R&D Start programs.
Melanie holds a degree in science and a graduate diploma in biotechnology and is a registered Australian Government Lobbyist.
