Jane joined MJA in 1999 and since that time has worked closely with a large number of corporate and SME clients in a broad range of industry sectors, including biotechnology, mining, IT and manufacturing. Jane has worked primarily in relation to the R&D tax concession program delivering R&D compliance, review, planning and AusIndustry/ATO audit services.

Jane has also worked directly with more than 20 companies providing assistance in the preparation of R&D Start and Commercial Ready grant applications, and has been responsible for raising over $20m in grant funding on behalf of MJA clients.

Experience prior to MJA

Prior to joining MJ&A Jane was a senior consultant for CPL Scientific Information Services in the UK, having worked for 15 years in the biotechnology sector working on the research, development and commercialization of microbial products for agricultural and food industry applications.

Jane holds a PhD in microbial genetics gained from her scholarship with Microbial Resources Ltd (UK), following which she became a Research Fellow at the Waite Agricultural Research Institute (University of Adelaide), working for seven years on the development of bio-pesticides. Jane then spent three years at the CRC for Food Industry Innovation working on the development of new products and processes in collaboration with Industry partners.
