Since joining MJA in 2001 as an R&D tax concession consultant, Sarah has had considerable direct R&D compliance experience within the mining (coal, mineral sands, nickel, zinc, lead), engineering, defence, oil and gas, steel and telecommunications industries. She has extensive experience in:
- Management of R&D compliance claims
- R&D audits
- Development and implementation of R&D planning processes
- Drafting of reasonably arguable position papers and tax ruling applications
- R&D claim reviews and risk assessments
- Overseas expenditure certificate applications
- Delivery of seminars and education sessions
- R&D claim consulting, particularly for complex corporate groups
Sarah holds degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Queensland and is a registered Australian Government Lobbyist.
