
Melanie Reen
Melanie has been helping companies claim government incentives and attract grants for R&D since 2000. She has successfully prepared and defended R&D tax claims for companies of all sizes across various Australian technology industries. She has also assisted in the completion and review of grant applications for large Federal government R&D and commercialisation grants in the Manufacturing and Renewable Energy industries.
Melanie played a key role in MJA’s lobbying efforts for the R&D Tax Incentive, including submissions for the Future Manufacturing Industry Innovation Council, appearances before the Senate Economics Legislation Committee, and meetings with senior policy officials. She has also advised the New Zealand government on their R&D tax legislation.
Melanie holds a degree in Biological Sciences, a Graduate Diploma in Biotechnology, a Certificate in Applied Tax, and is an Associate of the Tax Institute and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors
